Things to Do

Address:
1112 River Road Washington Crossing, PA 18977 Get Directions

At Washington Crossing Historic Park, George Washington led his ragged troops cross the ice-choked Delaware River and assaulted the unsuspecting Hessians at Trenton. His victory bolstered sagging morale, changing the course of the American Revolution. The site of the crossing is a National Historic Landmark – the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River is now a state historic site and museum. The crossing vicinity site features the assembly area, embarkment point, landing area, the road used by the Continental Army for its attack. The 500-acre site includes 13 historic buildings, the noted 100-acre Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve and observation tower, and  picnic areas.
