Trail Section: Parryville Spur

Status: Complete, open and improved

Distance: 1.4

This D&L Trail spur section follows the towpath between Weissport and Parryville through a peaceful section with views of the canal and remnants of historic buildings. The trail spur terminates at Lehigh Canal Park – Parryville Trailhead, where the canal reenters the Lehigh River.  Trail users wishing to travel further south along the D&L Trail will need to cross the river from Weissport to Lehighton and continue south toward Marvin Gardens Trailhead. The Lehigh Canal Park – Parryville Trailhead is also a Lehigh River Water Trail access point. Please refer to Wildlands Conservancy’s Lehigh River Water Trail website for more information on trips along the water trail.
