DLNHC is looking for an experienced individual who will take responsibility for the day-to-day operations management of the National Canal Museum, its mule-drawn canal boat, and other related activities during the open season (April through December).
The Museum Operations Manager is tasked with delivering a high standard of museum management, health, safety, security and general operational practices and processes, ensuring a safe and inspiring experience for all visitors, staff and volunteers.
During the months the museum is closed (January to March) the Museum Operations Manager is tasked with advancing visitor group attendance by actively promoting the museum to local youth and adult groups, planning visits, and working with the Education Manager to development exciting activities for visiting groups.
As a key member of the Museum & Archives team, he/she/they also collaborates on the development of new exhibitions and improvements to the museum’s facilities and offerings to enhance accessibility and the overall visitor experience.
