Delaware & Lehigh - D&L Announces 2019 Trail Friendly Businesses
Share

By Miranda Alvarez, Community Engagement Manager

Last year, we launched the inaugural group of D&L Trail Friendly Businesses. The program designated businesses that not only welcome trail users and support trails, but that serve their specific needs. This year, we’ve grown that list. We’re proud to announce the addition of 17 new trail friendly businesses.

The 2019 class of Trail Friendly Businesses include usual food and lodging options, but non-conventional businesses as well. Some unique additions, this year, were a massage and wellness studio to relax at post ride and antique goods shop. Needless to say, more businesses than ever are seeing the value in providing a welcoming atmosphere to trail users. In turn, we get to celebrate their connection to you and the trail!

People regularly ask where to eat, lodge, or shop along the trail. Now, we tell them to look out for Trail Friendly Business decals as they traverse the trail.

Trail users can also expect exceptional trail centric service. The next time you visit a trail friendly business, ask about their trail amenities. These businesses have been equipped with D&L Trail maps and offer services like bike parking and free water bottle refills.
