Delaware & Lehigh - Stop by and Say “Hi” at Canal Days in Hugh Moore Park
Share

Written by Elissa Garofalo

This has been a year of transition for the National Canal Museum. In January it was still located in downtown Easton. But due to Crayola’s expansion at Two Rivers Landing, the Museum is now located here along the Lehigh Canal in Easton’s Hugh Moore Park.

To celebrate their move, I want to encourage you to stop by and participate in a weekend of activity that is planned starting tomorrow. Saturday and Sunday August 28th and 29th will be filled with fun for the whole family. Since we want to join in the fun with our new neighbors, the D&L will be exhibiting photos from three years of “Reflections of the D&L” – our annual photo contest.

Not only is it a perfect opportunity to come and visit the only museum of its kind and ride the Josiah White II, you can stop by and visit The D&L offices.

If you have yet to visit the museum or take a ride on Pennsylvania’s only operating canal barge, this will be a great chance to learn all about this important piece of history. The canal museum is a learning experience that both children and adults can enjoy. Oh yea, and this event will also include games, a duck race, contests, and music. In the meantime, here’s the schedule. Hope to see you there!
