New this year: Spring Challenge and modified levels!
The D&L Trail Challenge encourages people to walk, run, and roll to shred through mile increments to raise money for the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, our programming, and the D&L Trail. 100% of the proceeds from the Challenge support us as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
Like past years, the basic level will challenge runners and walkers to complete at least four cumulative half-marathon (13.1-mile) distances, a total of 52.4 miles. Cyclists will now be challenged to complete the length of the D&L Trail, a total of 165 miles during the month (or 41.25 miles a week). These are great challenges for anyone just starting out or trying to get into a regular exercise routine.
The super level challenges avid runners and walkers to complete a marathon (26.2 miles) every week for a total of 104.8 miles and challenges avid cyclists to complete two lengths of the D&L Trail (330 miles). This challenge is for experienced walkers, runners, and cyclists who have crushed the challenge in past years or motivated newcomers.
A real-time Leader Board will engage your competitiveness. You can race against a personal mileage goal or simply participate for fun and fitness.
The registration fee for the D&L Trail Challenge is $25. Registration includes:
You can separately purchase additional D&L branded SWAG from our store including dri-fit shirts great for outdoor recreation, and books for adults or children about the D&L Corridor, railroads and canals.
And, most importantly, you’ll know that you are contributing to the important and worthwhile work of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.
Please help us promote the challenge with your friends by inviting them to join you and/or compete against you while helping the trail. Registration closes on April 8, so your friends can sign up even after the Challenge has begun.
