The Northeast PA Chapter is the very first Chapter of thi s award winning program and covers Lackawanna\, Luzerne\, Monroe\, Pike\, and Wayne Counties.\n\nNBLT volunteer hike leaders\, Paula Fall and Brian Gettig\, will take us on an approximate 4-mile easy to moderate hike arou nd Crystal Lake in the Pinchot State Forest off of Laurel Run Road on Satu rday\, February 9\, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The highlight of the hike wi ll be at the midpoint when we will be able to take in the beautiful view o f the reservoir. Paula and Brian will also showcase the improvements the S tate Forest is making for public access to the land.\n\nHikers are expecte d to be able to traverse roots\, rocks\, puddles\, swampy sections\, and h ike a moderate incline. Sturdy waterproof boots and winter gear are recomm ended. Please arrive 15 minutes early for the hike begins promptly at 10:0 0 am. The hike will be cancelled if there is inclement weather.\n\nNo char ge for NBLT members or non-members\, but registration by 5 pm Thursday\, February 7\, is required.
