SUMMARY:Health & Heritage Walk - White Haven Tannery Walk
DESCRIPTION:Get Your Tail on the Trail is offering a free trail walking pro
 gram this year. Vary up your exercise routine and meet new people\, learn 
 new things\, and experience different areas of the D&amp\;L trail.  \n\n
  Although these trail walks are free\, we do still ask that you sign up f
 or them so that we can control the number of people walking.  Walking wit
 h a group is fun\, energizing and social\; walking in a horde is not. We a
 re limiting our walk to 30 people.   \n\nCancellation policy: We will c
 ancel if the heat index is above 92\, if it is expected to rain during the
  walk or if there were heavy rains leading up to the walk that made the tr
 ail difficult to navigate.  \n\nRescheduling: Not all walks have rain da
 tes. Please check the description to see if there is a rain date. You can 
 also check out tailonthetrail.org the day of the event. If it is cancelled

 ------------------------------------------\nWhite Haven Tannery Walk \nJo
 in us as we explore the remnants of the Lehigh Tannery factory.  The walk
  will head south on the D&amp\;L Trail to the ruins of the Lehigh Tannery.
  The tannery was the largest in the United States in the 1860s and 70s.  
 At its peak\, it produced 80\,000 hides per year.  Distance is approximat
 ely 3 miles roundtrip along flat terrain.  If there’s time\, we will he
 ad north of White Haven to see the remains of one of the Upper Grand Secti
 on locks.  \nMeet at the paved parking lot at White Haven’s Trail Head
