May is Immersion Day month at the museum where school groups come daily to experience what life was like in the 1900s. This program is so popular we decided to open it up to the public for 1 day. Step back in time and immerse yourself in local history. The boat will not be running, but you will have the opportunity to meet the mules and also try pulling the boat, two things that are not available on regular weekends. We will also have special guests in the locktender garden spinning wool and answering your questions. While there check out our newly redone historical kitchen garden and visit the locktender house. You will also get to blow a conch shell and clean laundry like it is 1854. We will have more special guests, as well, from PAZA Tree of Life at the new Medicine Wheel Garden in Hugh Moore Park. If you have ever wanted to visit the museum, this is the weekend to do it.
