Are you looking for opportunities for group exercise without the added layer of education? The Miles for Health walks were created with you in mind. Join a group of like-minded individuals who want to get out on the trail, meet some new people, and get moving. The Slate Heritage Trail, a 3.3 mile “”Rails-to-Trails”” project, utilizes the former Lehigh Valley Railroad right-of-way that was operational from 1874 until 1947. Enjoy bridges, ruins, and views of Trout Creek on this hidden gem of a trek. We’ll cover about half the trail in an out and back brisk morning walk! The Slate Heritage Trail is part of THE LINK Trail Network. Achieve THE LINK Challenge badge by journeying on any of the network’s many trails.
Terrain: flat and easy
Distance: 5 miles
