Delaware & Lehigh - South Bethlehem Greenway: Bodies of Knowledge
Share

With the arrival of autumn and cooler temperatures, it’s a perfect time to stroll or bike along the South Bethlehem Greenway where Lehigh University Art Galleries have displayed billboards containing the works of local artists.

Now and throughout the end of next summer, a series of billboards titled “Bodies of Knowledge” showcases new and emerging artists’ work paired with the art collection from Lehigh University Art Galleries. The unique juxtaposition is a multi-site art exhibition that reflects on the relationship between our bodies and ourselves and empowers us to think about our connection to nature, life, and dance.

The South Bethlehem Greenway is intended to encourage relaxation, recreation, and education. Visitors can move through the greenway at their own pace, examine an exhibition on Cultural Awareness and Community Identity, and ask how we take care of our bodies and how our bodies take care of us.

Featured artists include:

Kailey Atkinson, Honora Campbell, Tarah Cicero, Maxan Jean Louis, Rebecca Kelly, Glenn Koehler, Jacqueline Kozloski, Y Lam, Malcolm Little, Jillian McLuhan, Moriah Mylod, Emily Olafson, Benjamin Orr, Anna Peris, Abbey Rosko, Charles Stonewall, Florrie Stoop, Emily Strong, Diane Turner and Rei Ukon.

To view the entire outdoor exhibition:

You can start your self-guided tour on the South Side of Bethlehem at either S. New Street or Trone Street. Metered parking is available near the Greenway and the S. New Street Parking Garage and Skate Plaza Parking Lot. The exhibition is on view now through May 24, 2024.
