Join D&L Trail Tenders to clean up lock 43 in Bethlehem

Where:

Sand Island Tennis Courts – Park Next to the Tennis Courts on Sand Island – 99 River St, Bethlehem, PA 18018

When:

Saturday July 13 , 2019 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

What:

Volunteer with the D&L to help clean up lock 43 next to the Charlie Brown’s Clearing. Volunteers will cut and trim overgrown vegetation along the lock. The vegetation is quite overgrown and will require hard work to clear the area. We recommend long pants and shirts.  Everyone should wear closed toed shoes, and we recommend boots. We will be crossing the near-empty lock to clear vegetation on the other side. Expect to cross 1-2 inches of water. We recommend bringing a water bottle.  We will have tools and gloves for people to use.

Please RSVP below and join us for a fun morning of giving back to the community.

For questions, please contact the Trail and Conservation Assistant, or call 610-923-3548, ext. 248.
