On Tuesday, members of the D&L staff traveled to Washington, D.C. to participated in a press conference held to announce the creation of a National Heritage Area congressional caucus. Congressmen Charlie Dent (R-PA) and Paul Tonko (D-NY) are leading the bipartisan coalition to promote congressional support for the nation’s forty-nine National Heritage Areas. The D&L is grateful for the support of our local congressman and all of the members of congress who recognize heritage programming as a key to economic development and historic preservation, and we look forward to the support of the caucus.
