Alice Wanamaker joined the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC) in June 2023 as the Economic Development Manager. She works with the Trails & Conservation team leading the progression of the Trail Towns and Trail Friendly Business programs.
She is already enjoying working with the Trails & Conservation team and looks forward to building new relationships and serving as a connector throughout the Corridor.
“As an avid trail user, I am excited to step into this role and help further the success of the D&L Trail, as well as the communities and businesses along the Corridor,” said Alice.
Prior to joining the DLNHC, Alice served Carbon County and the Northern Lehigh businesses and communities in multiple roles with the Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation where she worked on revitalization projects with the Borough of Lansford, Downtown Lehighton, and Slatington Revitalization Partnership.
Alice has served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Palmerton Community Blood Drives with Miller Keystone Blood Center since 2019. She also volunteers in her hometown of Slatington with the Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority on various programs.
Alice considers herself a foodie and enjoys growing her own food and cooking. She loves spending time outdoors, cycling on the trail or kayaking on the water. She also enjoys yoga, live music, camping, and traveling.
