On a warm and sunny day in early May, we kicked off the Get Your Tail on the Trail 165-mile challenge at Sand Island in Bethlehem.
Over 150 participants were there to join the group run, walk, and bike along the D&L Trail. There was excitement in the air as people chatted and snacked with fellow trail users, D&L staff, St. Luke’s University Health Network staff, and collected maps to plan their next adventure.
Since the Kick-Off on May 1, over 133,000 miles have collectively been logged.
Impressively, 239 people have already completed the 165-mile challenge of logging at least 165 miles of exercise since May 1! Participants have until the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run/Walk on November 6 to complete the challenge. In November, those who logged at least 165 miles will earn a health and wellness incentive to reward their efforts.
