Whether you’re cycling up from Bucks County to Easton, Pa. along the D&L Trail, or floating down the Delaware River by boat, you probably know Mueller’s General Store and Kitchen. It’s the kind of convenient spot where you can grab familiar, tasty food, drinks of any kind, including craft beer, or carb-loaded snacks to keep you going. Heck, you can even purchase bait, edible insects, or a fishing license!
Just adjacent to the convenience store, Mueller’s Kitchen offers a cozy respite from the day’s adventures with a friendly smile and a home-cooked comfort meal any time of day (except Tuesdays, note that the kitchen side of the shop is closed). With popular local items like their house-made sausage gravy over buttermilk biscuits, corned beef hash, loaded cheddar fries, turkey dinners, chicken croquettes, and stuffed meatloaf, it’s basically your “kitchen away from home.” They chef makes as much as possible from scratch, including smoked meats, like the baby back ribs with homemade cole slaw. Many local residents in nearby Williams Township and Riegelsville make appearances daily, ordering the same corned beef hash for years.
With direct trail access, a bike rack, and a boat dock for those coming by water, we’d say this trail-friendly business has you covered! Mueller’s has not only become a worthy pit stop during your walk, float, or bike ride down the trail, they’ve become a destination you’ll return to again. The rural setting also offers sweeping views of the river, especially if it’s a good day to sit on the patio. As an extra bonus for trail users, Mueller’s owners Jonathan Davis and Greg Schuyler recently started to offer free water bottle refills.
The General Store hours are Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. and weekends 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Mueller’s restaurant is open Mondays 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Wednesday through Sunday 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. The address is 3200 S. Delaware Drive in Williams Township.
