The DLNHC will be hosting a pop-up Hootenanny at Moosehead Lake!
This event is “Hike In, Hike Out” so while you’re out enjoying nature, you can stop by our table to take a rest, fill your water, grab some granola, listen to the live music of Don Shappelle and Don Sennett (aka The Pickups), and ask the DLNHC team any questions you may have about the D&L Trail! Maps will also be available for the taking.
Don’t forget to stop by downtown White Haven for a bite to eat – you’ll need it after the hike/bike!
Moosehead is at MM 136. We advise parking at the D&L Trail: Black Diamond Trailhead (MM 140) and then traveling 4.78 miles south, or parking at Middleburg Road (MM 132), traveling 4 miles north. However, if folks are not able to make the 8-mile round trip bike or hike, they are welcome to look into local parking areas on public land like State Game Lands off of Tunnel Road, heading north to the D&L Trail and then east toward Moosehead Lake.
