Count the number of gazebos, pavilions, or other covered structures available. Enter 0 if there are none.
Count the number of benches. Enter 0 if there are none.
Is there a sign visible to drivers / pedestrians identifying this as a trailhead?
Are there signs providing directions for trail users to point them in the right direction?
Is there a sign showing a map of the D&L corridor, entire trail, or trail system?
Is there a sign showing trail users where they can access food, lodging, shops or services?
Are there signs that provide educational information (history, environment, local community, etc)? Count the number. Enter 0 for none.
Are there take away maps of the trail or local community available?
Kiosk where flyers, events, or other local information can be displayed.
Count the number of bicycle racks. Enter 0 if there are none.
Are there tools or an air pump available?
Are their regularly scheduled programs at this trailhead that people could join? For example, the trailhead also has a nature center that provides environmental programs.
Is this trailhead part of an official water trail and if yes which one?
Can you lock a boat like a kayak or canoe here and safely leave it there? Count how many spaces are available. Enter 0 if there are none.
Are pets on a leash allowed on the trails?
Can you ride horses on the trail?
Does this trailhead service one trail or are their multiple connecting trails?
Is there an outlet that trail users can access to charge electronic devices?
Is there a "Gateway" experience at the trailhead? These are signals to trail users that you have arrived in a special location. They can include scenic vistas, art, unique historic structures, or anything that makes the trailhead stand out.
Is there a water body to fish on at the trailhead?
Can you camp at the trailhead? Primitive - walk in tents only; Car - can drive up to a campsite; RV - Campsites can fit RVs and have hook-ups; Glamping - High end full service camping
Is there food available at the trailhead?
Is there a public transportation stop at the trailhead?
