NEW THIS YEAR:
1) DLNHC will be hosting an in-person event with walk, run, and bike groups to help keep motivation up!
2) A Facebook page has been created where you can learn updates and ask questions outside of the exclusive Facebook Group. This page will be open, year-round
The D&L Trail-A-Thon encourages people to run, walk, and/or bike and log miles to raise money for the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, our programming, and the D&L Trail. 100% of the proceeds from the Trail-A-Thon support us as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.
The main level challenges runners and walkers to complete at least four cumulative half-marathon (13.1-mile) distances, a total of 52.4 miles (that’s less than two miles a day!) in the month of April. Cyclists are challenged to complete the length of the D&L Trail, a total of 165 miles during the month (41.25 miles a week or 5.5 miles a day). These are great goals for anyone just starting out or trying to get into a regular exercise routine. You can accrue the miles anywhere; they don’t have to be on the D&L Trail itself — we’ve had people participate while in New Zealand and The Netherlands before!
The super level challenges avid runners and walkers to complete a marathon (26.2 miles) every week in April for a total of 104.8 miles (that’s less than four miles a day) and challenges avid cyclists to complete two lengths of the D&L Trail (330 miles or 11 miles a day). This level is for experienced walkers, runners, and cyclists who’ve crushed the event in past years or motivated newcomers.
Miles can be accrued any time between April 1 and April 30. You select where, when, and how, then register your miles easily on RunSignup’s website.
A real-time Leader Board will engage your competitiveness. You can race against a personal mileage goal or simply participate for fun and fitness.
The registration fee for the D&L Trail-A-Thon is $25. Registration includes:

You can separately purchase additional DLNHC branded SWAG from our store including dri-fit shirts great for outdoor recreation, and books for adults or children about the Corridor, railroads and canals.
And, most importantly, you’ll know that you are contributing to the important and worthwhile work of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.
Please help us promote the D&L Trail-A-Thon with your friends by inviting them to join you and/or compete against you while helping the trail. Registration closes on April 6, so your friends can sign up even after the Trail-A-Thon has begun.
