Share

High-Profile Interpretive Signs are single-sided upright (like a poster) interpretive fiberglass panels arranged in a stand-alone, double or triple display. They provide pedestrian traffic with information or education on or off trail in areas where they do not compete with or block the view of the primary resource.

The Title must be creative and expressive with a maximum of 30 characters. The title captures the essence of the panel’s information.

The Quote must be relevant to the site or topic in 20 – 30 words.

Dates are years that represent the start and end of a sites existance or a significant event.

Main Body Text can be a range between 250 – 300 words. The text must contain important or interesting information without overburdening the reader. Avoid technical language by assuming your audience is an average high school student.

Photographs must be digital and a minimum of 300 dpi. A maximum of 3 images may be used. Images must be relevant to the panel’s topic and the location to where the sign is placed.

Captions must be placed for each photograph. They are a maximum of 45 words (2 sentences) long and be relevant to the photograph.

Logos give recognition to the landowners and partners who contribute to the sign. A maximum of 4 logos or official seals may be placed on the panel. Submissions must be Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, EPS, PDF, JPEG or PNG files of at least 300 dpi. Logos must be submitted on our website or via email to the D&L’s Visually Speaking Manager.
