Join us for the D&L TrailFest Virtual 5K, a fun and flexible way to support the D&L Trail and the work of Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC)—wherever you are!
Participants may complete the event anytime between Sunday, June 14 and Sunday, June 21, 2026.
On the trail, in your neighborhood, or on a treadmill!
Participants can complete their 5K (3.1 miles) at their own pace during event week—by running, walking, or rolling—while helping support the long-term care, operations, and educational programming of DLNHC. Participants are also encouraged to log their mileage as part of our annual Get Your Tail on the Trail (GYTOT) 165-Mile Challenge. This free program inspires people of all ages and abilities to meet their personal fitness goals and experience the value of local trails through day‑to‑day challenges, public events, and incentives.
$35 per entry. Race shirts and medals may be mailed for an additional $6 per order or picked up free of charge at select Trail Friendly Businesses or at the Carbon County D&L TrailFest.
Design is tentative and subject to minor changes. Please check back for our official announcement.
Virtual participants are encouraged to join us in person at the Carbon County D&L TrailFest on Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lehighton Outdoor Center. D&L TrailFest is a family friendly outdoor celebration of Carbon County’s outdoor culture; featuring vendors, activities, community partners, and opportunities to explore the D&L Trail.
Why the D&L Trail Matters
The Delaware & Lehigh (D&L) Trail is a 165‑mile multiuse trail stretching from the anthracite coal regions of northeastern Pennsylvania to Bristol, PA. Following historic canal towpaths, former rail corridors, and scenic river valleys, the trail preserves a nationally significant industrial transportation route while providing opportunities for recreation, connection, and community pride.
Proceeds from the D&L TrailFest Virtual 5K directly support DLNHC’s ongoing work, including D&L Trail maintenance and DLNHC’s educational and community engagement programs.
