Delaware & Lehigh - Closing the Gaps: Trail Improvement Plans in Luzerne County
Share

The D&L Trail is closer than ever to being fully connected. With two major gaps left, the D&L depends on its community to realize a fully continuous, improved 165+ miles of D&L Trail. To rally our community this year, we’ve committed to regular D&L Interactive Town Halls. These interactive meetings bring you all closer to our trail development work and programs than ever before.

On Tuesday October 27, D&L Staff and partners invited Luzerne County residents, leaders and trail users to learn more about trail plans in the region. If you’ve ever wondered where mile 165 might be or simply are excited for more miles in our Anthracite Region, this town hall is a must watch.

This town hall covers the variety of trail projects in their different stages of development. Together with our partners, Trail & Steward ship manager explains trail development using our 2020 Luzerne County trail projects map, pictured left.

Representatives from North Branch Land Trust and Luzerne County Planning joined the D&L to discuss their own support and plans in Luzerne County.

Altogether, the D&L is calling for a robust network of partners in Luzerne County. In order to connect the D&L Trail, we need advocates and aid.
