Delaware & Lehigh - Trail Friendly Business Spotlight: Diggity Dogs & More
Share

When you hear the words “best kept secret in town”, perhaps thoughts of an old swimming hole or a piece of historic art come to mind. But, what if that best kept secret is actually standing right in front of you in bright ruby red color. Not a hidden gemstone, but a different gem in and of itself, known by a select number of locals and tourists alike by the name of Diggity Dogs and More. That’s right, this is a breakfast to dinner, soup to nuts, food-truck stationed just outside of the Slatington D&L Trailhead. They serve up a wide variety of homemade meals. It’s perfect for fueling up for a day on the trails on winding down after a long day out.

The Slatington food truck is a certified Trail Friendly Business and an extension of their main building in Lehighton. All the operations are run by the owner Keith and two of his children making for a true family business. Diggity Dog hotdogs are a popular hit. However, Keith also serves up a wide array of foods, including pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, cheesesteaks, pierogis, and soups.

They are open Monday to Friday from 7am-6pm and on the weekends 8am-4pm. Stop by to get some food, see some cool artwork painted on the truck, and take a trip along the D&L trail! But, don’t tell anyone about how good it is! Otherwise, Diggity Dog’s will have to repaint the back of its food truck!
