Delaware & Lehigh - Trail Friendly Business Spotlight: Firehouse Cycles
Share

Firehouse Cycles is an all-inclusive local bike shop grateful to be situated along the D&L Trail in Yardley, where owner Mike Joseph says that locals still want to get outside on the trail for an experience they cannot find online. (Imagine that!)

Along the trail here in Bucks County, there are historic sites, as well as beautiful scenes along the Delaware Canal, including plenty of native birds — like the well-loved great blue heron. Mike truly enjoys giving back to the community so that Firehouse is a “cog in the enjoyment” people find living here. In fact a percentage of all Firehouse Cycles sales get kicked back to the Yardley community–to schools, fire companies, local teams, and nonprofits.

Mike is a certified Specialized Bike Fitter. That means he has trained with industry veterans who have done fittings for the world’s top cyclists including Alberto Contador, Tom Boonen, Fabian Cancallara and Mark Cavendish. But, don’t be intimidated!  They also help first-time riders and have a bike for every age and every style of cycling.

“We have a great range of bikes for new cyclists wanting to bike on the D&L Trail, or if you are a serious road biker or triathlete looking for the latest and greatest bike,” Mike says. “We ride bikes almost every day, and want to share our knowledge of bikes and cycling.”

Firehouse Cycles is an elite dealer of Specialized bikes, apparel, components, and accessories. Firehouse has built bikes for clients from a variety of brands: Surly, Waterford, Gunner, Jamis, Pinnarello & Wilier. The team takes great pride in getting you the bike that you want and making sure it is perfectly tuned for the style of cycling that you do.

Firehouse Cycles offers professional service for all brands and all kinds of bikes, and guarantees satisfaction on every service/repair. In order to head off major repairs, their tune-ups include adjustment of brakes and gears, lubrication of moving parts, inspection of tires, chain and brakes, inflation of tires, and a test ride. Stop in the shop, stay a while, and check out road bikes, tri bikes, mountain bikes, hybrid and comfort bikes, and plenty of kids bikes. It’s a Trail Friendly stop along the D&L Trail in Yardley.
