Delaware & Lehigh - Trail Friendly Business Spotlight: Otter’s Odds and Ends
Share

Otter’s Odds and Ends is any and everything you might imagine the name encompasses. From knick- knacks to paddy whacks, and even dogs with a bone (yes, pets are welcome in this shop!), you can find some of the most interesting and unique items in this White Haven based charming home-like antique store. Pete and Amanda – locals to the area – opened the shop in 2018. Born out of a dream to share their lifetime of collections with residents and visitors alike. While the list goes on, they sell White Haven souvenirs, vintage jewelry, post cards, home décor, and more! Recently, they have started stocking art and homemade goods from local artists. Pete and Amanda also want to ramp this up over the next years so visitors can appreciate the talent in White Haven.

Other than selling antique items, Otter’s Odds and Ends serves as a gathering spot. It’s a space to simply chat and connect with one another. Pete and Amanda intentionally made the place feel like a home, with a goofy and welcoming environment. The goal? Make people feel comfortable to stay around for a while. This has been one of their greatest gifts of starting up this passion project. It allows them to get to know more people from the town and meet visitors from across the country.

Otter’s Odds and Ends has also been a dedicated Trail Friendly Business. They have space to park bikes, tool kits for use and water and snacks for sale. They also have drawstring bags available for easy bicycle or walking transport of anything you buy from the store. Pete and Amanda are consistent trail users themselves and love that their shop is literally on the trail.

So, next time you are heading to White Haven on a weekend, stop by Otter’s Odds and Ends to pick some items to commemorate your visit! And if you can’t make it there, check out some of their online collection! Happy Trails.
