Delaware & Lehigh - Trail Friendly Business Spotlight: Times House
Share

If you are looking for a few days respite to relax and enjoy the shops and natural beauty of Jim Thorpe, then the Times House may just be the spot for you! This bed and breakfast was started by husband and wife, Chris and Diane. In 2009, they set out on a unique mission, to create a comfortably elegant place to enjoy the Poconos. Perhaps most importantly, they wanted to set it on what they consider the most romantic street in the area.

There are four gorgeous rooms to stay in. Each room holds a slightly different feel from the bones of this 1870s first constructed house. Guests look forward to enjoying a homemade breakfast for two en suite. Indulge in Diane’s delicious home-baked scones, breads, cakes, homemade granola, yogurt topped with fresh fruit, and their own Times House blend of locally roasted coffee. It also doesn’t hurt to have a Jacuzzi bathtub in the room to unwind after a day on the trail. The Times House is only a few minutes from the D&L Trail. It’s a great place to start, end, or sojourn. Plus, there are plenty of shops to explore and restaurants only a stone’s throw away.

The Times House has been a steady Trail Friendly Business on the D&L Trail. They have indoor bike storage, pumps, tool kits, tire patches, bike cleaning supplies, and many other things that speak trail. They are also just down the block from Pocono Biking, another one of our Trail Friendly Businesses, is where you can rent bikes and take a shuttle.

So, if you are looking for a base to explore the Poconos or just a getaway amidst the pandemic, check out the Times House in Jim Thorpe. It surely will not disappoint!
