D&L TRAIL TENDERS – 2026 EVENT CALENDAR
Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC) coordinates with regional partners and landowners to host public volunteer events, April through October. Join the D&L Trail Tenders crew by registering as a DLNHC volunteer online and get seasonal email updates about opportunities to steward the D&L Trail. For all D&L Trail Tenders events, bring your own water bottle, dress appropriately for weather and trail conditions, and wear comfortable, closed-toe footwear.

D&L Trail Tenders and Friends of the Delaware Canal
Canals End Road Parking Lot
Join DLNHC and the Friends of the Delaware Canal at the southern terminus of the Delaware Canal. Together, we’ll remove litter and clear vegetation along from a historic canal structure just below Bristol’s downtown along Mill Street.

D&L Trail Tenders and Lehigh Gorge State Park
Glen Onoko Trailhead
Join DLNHC and LGSP for a Part 2 cleanup for the turntable right off the trail near the Nesquehoning Bridge. We’ll take a short walk from the trailhead to the turntable, where we’ll remove invasive species and litter to make it accessible to park visitors.

D&L Trail Tenders and Delaware Canal State Park
Delaware Canal Lock 12
Join DLNHC, DCSP and the Friends of the Delaware Canal to clear vegetation from Delaware Canal Lock 12 and its bypass channel in Lumberville, PA. Parking is available adjacent to the Lock across the street from 3815 River Rd, Lumberville, PA 18933.

Lehigh Gap
Join the DLNHC and Lehigh County for a weekday cleanup to clear vegetation along the D&L Trail between Slatington (MM 92.2) and Lehigh Gap Nature Center (MM 94.2).
