D&L TRAIL TENDERS – 2024 EVENT CALENDAR
Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (DLNHC) coordinates with regional partners and landowners to host public volunteer events, April through October. Join the D&L Trail Tenders crew by registering as a DLNHC volunteer online and get seasonal email updates about opportunities to steward the D&L Trail. For all D&L Trail Tenders events, bring your own water bottle, dress appropriately for weather and trail conditions, and wear comfortable, closed-toe footwear.

D&L Trail Tenders
Hugh Moore Park
For Celebrate Trails Day, join the DLNHC for our annual clean up at Hugh Moore Park, home of the National Canal Museum and the D&L Trail. Volunteers will break into groups for various activities including litter clean-up along trails, prepping for educational field trips, clearing branches, planting flowers, painting, and more.

D&L Trail Tenders and the City of Easton
Hugh Moore Park
Join the DLNHC and the City of Easton to pick up trash along Lehigh Drive.
Saturday, June 8– 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
D&L Trail Tenders and Lehigh Canal Recreation Commission (LCRC)
Weissport D&L Trailhead
Join the volunteers of LCRC on National Get Outdoors Day to pick up trash along the D&L Trail and help with various maintenance activities ranging from trail repairs, bridge and fence repairs, and vegetation trimming.

D&L Trail Tenders and Lehigh Gorge State Park (LGSP)
Rockport D&L Trailhead
Join the DLNHC and LGSP to clean Lock 22 at Mud Run, roughly 2.5 miles north of Rockport. We’ll travel north along the trail to the Lock where Lehigh Gorge will lead us through the process of clearing the access trail and removing invasive glossy buckthorn. Participants may ride in the park van (space is limited) or ride their bike to the lock.
