Please be advised that construction is planned on the Glendon Hill Road Bridge, which will require a closure of the D&L Trail at the bridge crossing. While construction is anticipated to occur during 2026, a start date has not yet been announced. During the closure, pedestrian and bicycle traffic will not be permitted across the bridge. Trail users should plan accordingly and follow all posted detour and safety signage. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
Please be sure to stop and dismount bikes at both the Lehigh Drive crossings and walk your bikes across the iron bridge into Hugh Moore Park for safety. For trailhead parking, cross the bridge to the Hugh Moore Park side of the river, descend the small hill, and find the trailhead parking immediately to the left. For National Canal Museum or general Hugh Moore Park parking, continue down the park access road to the large main lot on the left.
This short paved section of D&L Trail crosses Lehigh Drive twice and takes you across the Lehigh River into Hugh Moore Park. The Hugh Moore Park Trailhead is also near a Lehigh River Water Trail access point. Please refer to Wildlands Conservancy’s Lehigh River Water Trail website for more information on trips along the water trail.
